:: Eligibilty Requirements ::
Admission to Undergraduate Courses

The following examination have been recognized by the university of Delhi as the basis of granting admission to different under-graduate courses:

•  Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

•  Indian School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the council of Indian school certificate Examination, New Delhi

•  Pre-University Examination (Two Years), after ten years of schooling of an Indian university recognized by the university of Delhi

• Intermediate Examination of an Indian university/Board or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

Admission to under-graduate courses in B.A. (Hons.), B.Com. (Hons.), B.A. and B.Com is done on the basis of four best relevant subjects at the Senior Secondary Examination. Details shall be provided in the admission notice. Weight age shall be given to various subjects/subject combination for admission to various courses. Weightage may also be given to the main subjects of the course to which admission is sought.

Admission to under-graduate courses in B.Sc (Hons.) and B.Sc is done on the basis of three relevant science subject at the senior secondary examination. Details shall be provided in the admission notice.

Admission to B.A. and B.Com course is done after taking into consideration a proper distribution of student among compulsory Modern Indian language. Students should have studied one of the these language upto class X.

Notes:
•  A Claim for admission to a particular course cannot be made by just securing the minimum required marks. Admission are done strictly on the basis of cut-off percentage in the merit list prepared amongst the students who have applied for the particular course.

•  For admission to B.A.(Hons.) course in Arabic, Bengali, Persian and Urdu, the candidates securing 40% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in the subject concerned are also eligible for admission to the concerned Honours Course.

•  Candidates seeking admission to B.A. (Hons.) Economics and B.Com (Hons.) courses must have studied English and Mathematics upto Senior Secondary Level

•  Admission to B.A. (Hons.) English and B.A.(Hons.) Philosophy shall be done on the basis of test/interview in accordance with the University regulation.

Compulsory Hindi
Indian students, who have not studied Hindi in any class in school and also have not passed it in Class VIII, will be required to attend regular classes for compulsory Hindi and will have to pass the Compulsory Test in Hindi.
