		Orientation programme for 1st year students & issue of I-card, library tickets and time table.
17th	:	All classes (1st, lind, IIIrd year) begin for Ist term.

August 2008

14th	:	Independence Day celebration.
18th - 26th	:	Issue of I-card and library tickets to IInd & IIIrd year students.
14th - 30th	:	Fresher's welcome by different departments.

September 2008

1" week	:	DUSU elections and the college Students' Union elections. (Date to be announced by the University)
15th - 27th	:	Inaugural functions of departmental and general societies.
19th/20th	:	Students' Union inauguration and fresher's take off.
30th	:	Last working day of I term.

October 2008

	:	Zakir Husain Memorial Football Tournament
1"-15th	:	Autumn break
16th	:	College reopens after autumn break.
		Notification of students falling short of attendance in 1st term.

November 2008

Preferred period for holding of seminars, lectures and workshops.
